Don't Rubbish Deptford Creek!

This spring and summer we have organised new activities for families and people passionate about freshwaters and Creek. From cleaning the river, water sampling to new family learning sessions. The project aims to improve the ecology of Deptford Creek through engaging the local community in a series of river conservation events. Change will be created by practical conservation in Deptford Creek but also through education of participants bringing awareness of the river and its challenges. The project will be run along the London Rivers Week events.

This spring and summer we have opportunities for you to connect with local wildlife and get creative. From nature writing and photography to wildflower pressing and collage making. Work with experienced naturalists and artists to then showcase your work at our collective exhibition in July.

Starting on May 22 - Kick start your summer with our free Wilderwood Walks. Starting from  May 22, we’ve got a series of weekend walks that let you explore the incredible wildlife and history of this social part of London. Walks are for everyone but please bring your own refreshments. While we can't accomodate dogs at the centre itself they are most welcome on the walk. Please where comfy shoes! Find out more here
