Unleash Your Creativity: Dive into Deptford's Wildlife Photo Challenge!

 

Are you ready to embark on a visual journey through the captivating landscapes and wildlife of Deptford, including elegant birds, curious bugs and wild plants?

From March 22nd to March 31st, we invite you to participate in the exploration of Deptford's natural wonders and be in with a chance to win some great prizes.

Get your smartphones and cameras ready because you won’t want to miss out on our online Wildlife Photo Challenge!

Categories:

  • Young Explorers – for participants aged 12 and below, (email submissions only).
  • Green Ambassadors – open to youth aged 13 to 17, (Instagram or email submissions).
  • Adult Adventurers - participants aged 18 and above, (Instagram or email submissions).

Times:

The photography challenge will kick off on World Water Day, March 22nd, and run until Easter Sunday, March 31st, giving you plenty of time to explore, capture, and share your images with the world. We are also hosting a Nature Photography Walk on the 23rd of March to encourage participants to connect with nature and learn more about photography.

Rules:

  • Instagram Submissions: To enter the contest, post your photographs on Instagram during the challenge period. Follow us and tag us @Creeksidediscoverycentre in your post, and use the designated hashtag #DeptfordWildlifePhotos and include your category and photo location and date to ensure your entry is counted.

 

  • Email Submissions: If you prefer to submit your photographs via email, you may send them to info@creeksidecentre.org.uk. Please include your name, age category, and Instagram handle (if applicable) in the email body, the location where and when the image was taken, and why you chose this particular image for submission.

 

  • Number of Entries: Participants may submit up to three photographs throughout the contest duration.

 

  • Image Format: Images should be submitted in JPEG format with a maximum file size of 10 MB per photo.

 

  • Original Content: All submissions must be original work created by the participant. Plagiarised or previously published photographs will not be considered.

 

  • Photo Editing: Basic editing, including adjustments to brightness, contrast, and cropping, is permitted. However, excessive manipulation that alters the integrity of the image is not allowed in this photographic challenge.

 

  • Copyrights: By submitting photographs to the contest, participants grant us the right to use the images for promotional purposes, including but not limited to our Instagram account, website, and marketing materials.

 

  • Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on creativity, composition, and technical quality.

 

  • Prizes: All winners from each category will receive recognition and exposure through our social media channels. In addition, there will be the following prizes:
  • 2 x Low Tide Walk tickets
  • 4 x Family Activity tickets
  • 2 x Deptford Creek book
  • 2x Creekside Mug
  • Creekside badges & postcards
