We are calling all wildlife enthusiasts and photographers!
Join us for an exciting photography walk from Lewisham Station to Deptford Bridge Station along the Ravensbourne River and DLR line. This experimental walk aims to deepen understanding of Deptford's urban habitats and wildlife through photography. Led by experienced naturalist Nick and photographer Patty, it offers hands-on learning opportunities. Don't miss out!
Participants will explore Deptford's diverse ecosystems, discover hidden gems, and gain a deeper understanding of local flora and fauna.
Whether you are an expert or a complete beginner, this will be a chance to get outdoors and explore the wildlife on your doorstep. Share your snapshots with us, and let the wild spirit of Deptford inspire the world!
This walk is connected to our online Deptford Wildlife Photo Challenge, which will run from March 22nd to March 31st.
What to expect:
- a short talk about plant species or plant-related topic
- support to improve taking better photos of nature in urban areas
- opportunities to learn about wildlife identification
What to bring?
- any device which takes photos, the camera is fine, so is the smartphone
- notebook and pencil
- comfortable footwear and warm clothes
