Winter Warmer - Open Site - Friday 5th December 2025

An Open Site event for the whole community! 

As winter approaches, join us for a delightful afternoon and evening of winter crafts celebrating nature at this time of year. This year we'll also be screening some short films to delight and excite all ages about the magic of nature all around us. Bring the whole family for warm spiced drinks, popcorn and films, toasted marshmallows, and celebrate winter's arrival.

Activities for all ages:

• From 15.30 - Badge making - we'll be bringing out our trusty badge maker, so that every visitor gets to make their own one-of-a-kind Creekside badge! 
• 16.15 - Short film screening - grab a warm drink and some popcorn and cozy up to watch some inspiring and exciting short films about nature. Each film is suitable for all ages.
• 16.45 - Group craft activity - make your own adorable clay fox ornament inspired by a magical character from one of the short films
• From 17.00 - Gather by the fireside - finish the evening by topping up you warm drink and gathering by our fireside to toast marshmallows. Chat and make new friends, and enjoy some time outside - we might even share a story or some poetry if people would like! 

Refreshments:

• Mince Pies: Savor delicious mince pies, a classic winter treat.
• Mulled Apple Juice: Wash down your treats with freshly made mulled apple juice, perfect for warming you up from the inside out.
• Tea, Coffee, and Squash: Various cold drinks will also be available.
• Marshmallows: regular and vegan/halal will be available
• And for the adults... some mulled wine will be available!

Friday 6th December, 15.30-18.00

Everyone is welcome at this event - the films are chosen to be child friendly but will entertain adults of all ages too!

Tickets are just £2 per person. To ensure we have enough supplies for everyone, please book your tickets in advance. This will help us with our shopping and preparation.
