The Whole Wild World Walks - Tuesday 16th April 2024
Tuesday, 16th April, 18:00 - 20:00
Calling all global wildlife enthusiasts!
We live among wildlife from around the world. We’ll be exploring local streets and open spaces on the hunt for the global travellers that live with us.
Just as London is home to people and cultures from around the world it is also home to a complex mixture of native wildlife and wildlife from around the world. Many arrived here because of Britain’s trading and colonial past. These days gardening and travelling are the main sources.
Many species were brought here to please gardeners, while others have hitchhiked worldwide using all means of transport. And it is not only plants that find a new home in London; we also have birds, mammals, invertebrates and crustaceans from the four corners of the planet.
Would you like to discover more? Join us for a walk!
