A free, family-friendly nature fete with bug hunting, crafts, a bake sale and our famously chaotic wader wanging competition - right in the middle of Deptford.
Perfect for families, local residents and anyone after a relaxed, low-cost day outdoors.
What's happening
Drop in anytime and enjoy:
- Bug hunts and a family-friendly nature trail
- Arts and crafts for all ages
- Guided walks around the park
- Bake sale, refreshments and a community raffle
- Meet the team from 'Educating Deptford', learn about the history of this amazing local institution, and prepare your very own plants for the 'Flower Show' later in the summer!
- And yes...our wader wanging competition (it's exactly what it sounds like)

(Arrive a little early for these if you can - they're popular and start promptly)

Most activities run throughout the day, so you can turn up whenever suits you and still have plenty to do.
