Screening 2: Thursday 19th March | 18:30 - 21:00

Creekside is excited to be part of the London Mountain Film Festival for another year. We'll be rolling out the red carpet to showcase a selection of short movies that will take you from the tidal banks of the Thames, away to the remote corners of the world.

About the Films

We will open with a selection of inspiring short movies:

"Bogs | The Magic of Peat" (11 min) - A climate focused short film opening the conversation about carbon capture through the means of peatland restoration in the beautiful Cumbrian landscape

"Tha Sinn an Seo (We Are Here)" (10 min) - Featuring young people at work and play in the landscapes of the Cairngorms, this is a poetic statement of presence, action and joy as young people participate in habitat restoration work.

"Swim Sisters'" (11 minutes) - A poetic, visually stunning love letter to water, sisterhood, and the enduring strength of Black women across generations.

After an interval and refreshments:

"The Oldest Munro Bagger" (57 mins), following 80 year-old Nick Gardner as he attempts to complete all 282 of Scotland's Munros in the wake of his beloved wife's dementia diagnosis. An uplifting story of resilience, hope and love for the mountains, it documents the emotional highs & lows, and the physical & psychological challenges he encounters along the way. A moving, authentic story of enduring love and growth, told against the breathtaking backdrop of the Scottish Highlands.
