Stories From The Wild: Short Film Night - Thursday 12th March 2026
Screening 1: Thursday 12th March | 18:30 - 21:00
Creekside is excited to be part of the London Mountain Film Festival for another year. We'll be rolling out the red carpet to showcase a selection of short movies that will take you from the tidal banks of the Thames, away to the remote corners of the world.
About the Films
We will open with a selection of inspiring short movies:
"Green" (5 min) - In the quiet rhythm of gardening, Bee explores how time in nature helps them reflect, connect, and nurture what matters most.
"The Birdwatchers" (14 min) - What does it mean to be a birdwatcher? Four women challenge the stereotype and share their love, passion, and fears in the world of birding.
"Mother River" (6 min) - A look into Devin Brown's journey as she seeks to be the First black female on record to kayak the entire Mississippi River.
After an interval and refreshments:
"For What We Have To Do" (66 mins) is a documentary that explores the role of riparian woodlands in supporting climate resilience and ecological recovery. Set in the Colne Valley, West Yorkshire, the film invites viewers to contemplate the relationship between people and their landscapes, emphasising the importance of art and creativity in understanding and sustaining the places we inhabit.
What to Bring
- Feel free to bring your own camp chairs or cushions for extra comfort. We have chairs and benches available, but your own seating can make the experience even more enjoyable.
