Family Easter Duck Race - Wednesday 1st April 2026

Spend the Easter break wading into Deptford Creek, discovering wildlife, and launching your duck to victory in our family-friendly Easter session.

We’ll begin by getting into waders and heading down into the Creek, where we’ll spend time looking for fish, crabs and other wildlife, learning about the birds and animals that live here, and exploring this unique tidal habitat together. Once we reach the start line, each duck will take part in a race to earn a place in the final. The winning duck will receive a voucher to attend future Creekside activities.

Who can take part

• This activity is suitable for all ages

• Children aged 5 and over may enter Deptford Creek

  (they do not need to be accompanied by an adult, although this is preferred where possible)

• Children under 5, and their accompanying adults, will:

  • Take part in duck-themed crafts in our classroom

  • Watch the duck racing from Ha’penny Hatch Bridge

  There is a maximum of 3 children per adult for this activity.

• Each child ticket includes one duck for the duck race

• Please book a ticket for every person attending, including adults
