Deptford Creek Bird Survey - Sunday 23rd June 2024

Sunday, 23rd June,  10:00 - 12:00 

Join us as we survey the birdlife of the Creek. We will meet at Creekside Discovery Centre and then start surveying at the southern end of the Creek from land and make our way north to where the Creek meets the Thames.

Whether you are an expert or a complete beginner, this will be a chance to get outdoors and explore the wildlife on your doorstep. 

What to expect:

- a guided bird walk recording the birds we see and hear at fixed points during the walk

- help with identifying birds visually and by birdsong

This activity is part of a series of regular bird surveys. By joining recurring survey activities, you will better understand seasonal cycles and improve your ID skills.

What to bring:

If you own a pair of binoculars and ID guides/books, please bring them along. We have a limited number of binoculars you can borrow on the day.

We will meet at Creekside Discovery Centre - 14 Creekside, Deptford, SE8 4SA.

All ages can join the Deptford Creek bird surveys. For everyone aged 15 and under, we ask that a parent/ guardian attend with them.
