Sunday 17 February 10:00 - 13:00             Calling all wannabe captains! This half term, we’re using innovative technology to power remote-controlled SMÅKRYP boats that will clear rubbish from Deptford Creek. Book your slot below and become Captain of The Good Ship IKEA. And in our learning space, you’ll get the chance to find out about how plastics enter our marine ecosystem from the River Thames and what you can do to prevent this. You can also take part in a plastics workshop. Or even make a ‘plastic pledge’, to help prevent water bottles, crisp packets and other rubbish from entering our river and marine ecosystem once and for all. Everyone is welcome to visit Creekside Discovery Centre, but if you wish to captain the robotic boat, you will need to book a time slot below. Please arrive at least ten minutes before your time slot. We accept bookings for up to 6 people per booking. You will need to book for any adult or child wishing to view or captain the boat.
