Creekside is a fully staffed environmental centre with purpose built facilities. The Centre encourages local people and those from further afield to be involved in the Creek. Our main goal is to provide a programme of education and leisure from 4 to 104 year olds.

The Centre is run as a company with charitable status, with local people on the managment committee.

We aim to enable people of all ages and abilities, to enjoy the physical and natural environment, and help in maintaining and protecting the local wildlife.

The Deptford Creek Environmental Centre provides:

• Daily environmental visits for primary and secondary school children investigating the Creek and supporting the National Curriculum in Science, Geography, Maths, English and History and much more.
• a programme of holiday events for children and families.
• A course for college and university students with hands-on activities and research.
• Guided walks along the riverbed at low tide, looking at the archaeology, history and wildlife.
• Leisure based activties for everyone.
• Projects and hands-on activities to involve local businesses in protecting and enhancing the local environment.
